About Me
My name is Flemming Larsen, I live in Denmark and I have been studying and coaching Martial Arts most of my life.
I began training in1979, at the age of 11, and I never stopped learning.
1979: Me at age 11, when I first started
Notice in the image above, that I'm the only kid really paying attention. I had a strong focus from the start, and I have kept that ever since.
I started out in Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, where I obtained the rank of 1st degree Black Belt in 1987 at the age of 19 and 2nd degree Black Belt in 1991 at the age of 23.
After that I spend a number of years in Ashihara Karate, a Full Contact Karate Style, based on Sabaki, Fight Control. I trained under Casper Olsen, 4th Degree Black Belt.
Jiu-Jitsu and Ashihara Karate are my base in Traditional Martial Arts, and I was both a student and an instructor in both arts.
Sei Bu Kai: 2nd Degree Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu
Ashihara Karate Frederiksberg: Assistant Karate Instructor
Ashihara Karate Frederiksberg: Head Submission Fighting Instructor
1991: Just earned my 2nd Degree Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu
Over the years I trained with practitioners of many different Martial Art Styles.
This gave me an understanding of the differences between styles. I have always believed that I could find value in all styles, which led me to take what I found useful and discard what I did not.
I have studied and trained in:
Catch Wrestling
Reality Based Self Defense - Combatives
I have a working understanding of concepts such as:
Chi Sao - Wing Chun
Knife Defense - Kali/Escrima
I have participated in seminars with such names as:
Hidenori Ashihara - Kancho, New International Ashihara Karate Kaikan
August Wallen - CEO Fight Center Gothenburg, Chief Instructor Shooters MMA
Taejoon Lee - Grandmaster, Hwa Rang Do
Samuel Kwok - Grandmaster, Wing Chun
Roy Harris - Professor, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

I heard about 52 Blocks and took a 500+ days course, passing 5 tests to become a certified coach under Lyte Burly
I became a fully certified instructor in 52 Blocks AOD on my 52nd birthday.
The month before certifying in 52 Blocks, I joined The School Of Boxing (TSOB) at Master Boxing under coach Eric A. Bradley.
I spend two years in TSOB, along with other Boxing Coaches.
I’m certified in TSOB:
